Béatrice Goudron Fauron
42.2 km carried by the ocean
In Portneuf-sur-Mer, at 28°C, she ran her 40th marathon of the year… with her feet in the sand and her heart turned towards 10 causes close to her heart. When the strength of the ocean meets human determination.

A challenge for ten causes
Since April 1, 2025, Béatrice Goudron has embarked on a monumental challenge: to run 100 marathons in a single year in order to support 10 foundations that are close to her heart. His goal goes beyond sport: “My challenge was born from the desire to give deeper meaning to my passion. It’s a way to celebrate life, to push my limits, and above all, to make a positive difference in our community.” Each marathon then becomes an act of solidarity, a message of resilience and an invitation to believe that every step counts.
The 40th marathon in Portneuf-sur-Mer
On a hot July day, Béatrice chose a different route: entirely (or almost entirely) on the beach, from Portneuf-sur-Mer to Forestville, before returning, following the tide. She wanted to “live a different experience, let myself be carried by the waves, find a cool place where it’s good to lose myself within myself.”
The most difficult moment? Go around the dam by a dirt road for 500 meters, far from the breeze, very hot! The most magical? “The start, the sound of the waves, the freshness of the water… It’s as if it’s the beach that carries me, the waves that push me forward without really understanding what is happening. »
Even today, the smell of the sea and the rolling of the waves remain engraved in his memory.

Personal transformation
This marathon was not only a physical effort, it was also a moment of introspection: “My body is talking to me, my muscles are sore from the recent trials in my life. But I understood that there is always something beautiful, always something wonderful, whatever the adventure. »
By following the rhythm of the waves, Béatrice has also learned to trust her breath, to let nature dictate the tempo.
If she had to sum up this day: “Alone in the world on the ocean for 42.2 km.”
Uhumain Favorite Equipment
For this 40th marathon, Béatrice wore the Uhumain multi-cargo running shorts – short version: “These running shorts are really perfect: the fabric adapts to all temperatures, it is resistant, keeps cool, and the multiple pockets are ultra practical. I’ve been wearing it for several marathons this year already. »
Another essential companion: the Coureurs des Bois camp towel. “Sometimes attached to my wrist, sometimes around my neck, it follows me everywhere and has quickly become a must-have.”
